Waynesboro Community & Human Services offers the Community Nurse program to individuals who live within the Borough of Waynesboro. Through a grant from Summit Endowment it has recently been expanded to include residents of Washington Twp.
The Community Nurse program offers a variety of in home health care services. Long and short term nursing treatment is available, Individual personal care plans, etc. Services are available daily, weekly, monthly or occasionally. Services available at the Center include Information and Referral, Clothing Bank, Food Bank, Diaper Bank, Emergency Financial Assistance and the Community Nurse Office. Counseling is available from Occupational Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling Services, AHEDD and LIU12 Franklin County Literacy Council. Rental Facilities are available at the center for those who have one-time only or ongoing programs that will offer concrete help, emotional support and encouragement and opportunities for personal growth to those who desire such help.
